Field Engineer


Position Overview:
Field Engineers will be involved with performing field measurement testing projects on wireless networks throughout the United States.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct CW equipment set up and drive testing.
  • Assist RF Engineers with propagation model Tuning.
  • Collect drive test data for network optimization.
  • Verify call functionality.
  • Verify neighbor handoffs.
  • Identify and note poor coverage areas.
  • Identify and note areas with poor call quality.
  • Ability to post process and plot data.
  • Provide feedback to RF Engineers regarding network problem areas.
  • Conduct troubleshooting drive test.
  • Conduct final acceptance drive test.
  • Conduct call trace testing to assist with identification of uplink issues .
  • Conduct site shakedown.
  • Conduct site audits.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communications/ Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering or 6 months of experience.
  • Experience with CW and optimization drive test data collection tools such as TEMS, Grayson, COMARCO, etc.

  • Work Independently and as a team
  • Ability to read and follow maps and drive-routes
  • 100% Travel Required
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • English Fluency (oral, written)
